All new submissions acceptable for publication received up to Sunday June 1st will be entered into the competition. Enter as many stories as you like.
There will be no voting on submissions until after the closing date.
Once the competition closes, the first round of voting begins. This stage will last until Sunday 29th June.
The three stories with the highest rating on Sunday 29th June will be entered into the Final. All runner up stories will then be placed into the library.
The top three stories will have their ratings reset, and voting begins to decide who is the overall winner.
The Final ends on Sunday July 20th, 2008 at 6pm Eastern Standard Time.
The winner will be the story with the highest rating at the close of the competition. In the event of a tie the story with the most votes will win.
The headlibrarian will be the final arbiter in all aspects of the competition. Competition rules and conditions may be changed at any time.
Vote rigging will be monitored by international observers.
The Prize
The writer of the winning story will receive an Amazon voucher to the value of US$25 or equivalent to where the winner lives.
Winning story will enter The Story Library forever bearing special mention of its competition victory.
Second and third place stories will also enter the library and their status as competition finalists be noted forever.
